Wellington's all on edge for Saturday

WELLINGTON - Wednesday, 11 November 2009

The weather in Wellington is currently a drizzling 14 degrees and overcast, as the All Whites squad was doing their training routine and preparation scheduled for the turf at Newtown Park, although better ground conditions could be on Endeavour Park, Whitby, yesterday.

Latest forecast for Saturday is sunny conditions and 16 degrees, compared to the 25 recorded in Sydney (yesterday), where the Bahrain team is flying out from before arriving in Wellington tomorrow (Thursday).

The headlines in today's Dominion Post sports page - 'The biggest show in town' - says it all!

That was backed up by the World Cup tie getting footage on SkyNews Sports throughout Australia as well this morning, as well as on TV7 from the TVOne Breakfast Show, clips from yesterday with the squad not only in training, but also with the All White's 'think tank' in deep discussions at the Wellington Town Hall, plus an interview from one supporter from 'The White Fever' (compared to the Yellow Fever, supporters of NZ's only A-League franchise club, the Wellington Phoenix.
